A friend of mine asked me what colors she would see and could buy this season ... Of course spring is on its way! Historically, it’s the time for new beginnings, new ideas and fresh starts -- a time for designers to escape the ho-hum days of winter. And, you too! Spring 2009 isn’t any different. What to expect -- Look forward to vivacious, energetic, bright colors; soften by a new family of neutral hues. As I told my friend, let’s try to ignite your shoe collection with these hot 10 colors, even if it’s just a few.

Palace Blue -- A classic, navy-like hue.

Lavender -- A softer version of purple.

Super Lemon -- A fun tangy yellow.

Salmon Rose -- A hint of a (red) orange.

Fuchsia Red -- A red with a blue undertone that adds an elegant hint.

Rose Dust -- Not your everyday beige with a slight rose undertone.

Slate Gray -- A bluish-green with a pop.

Vibrant Green -- A brighter shade of green.

Dark Citron -- A sophisticated citrus-inspired green.

Lucite Green -- A clean, faint green tone.
